Your guide to the Big Noon Kickoff on campus

By now you’ve probably heard of FOX Big start to lunch comes to the on-campus Memory Mall as the Knights prepare for a big showdown against Colorado this Saturday at 3:30 p.m., which will also be broadcast on FOX. This highly anticipated early-season matchup is a pivotal moment as both teams look to make their mark in the Big 12.

Check out the timeline of exciting events on campus leading up to Saturday’s game – each a great opportunity to welcome the FOX crew, show them the energy and enthusiasm of Knight Nation, and share our Black & Gold Proud to present.

Events calendar

Saturday September 28th

8 a.m. – Parking lot opens

All parking spaces are open on match days. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the festivities including live music, interactive games and special guest appearances.

8:30 a.m. – Fan Pit opens

The Big start to lunch The fan pit opens and the pre-show begins. Bring your energy and put on your best Black & Gold to give TV viewers across the country a taste of what to expect when they tune in to FOX on Saturday morning. The show’s stage area is located next to the Veterans Commemorative Site on the Student Union side of Memory Mall.

Big start to lunch awards $500 for the best sign and free tickets to the Colorado game.

10am – It’s showtime forBig start to lunch

FOX’s iconic college football pregame show, airing from 10 a.m. to noon, makes its debut at UCF – marking the first time in program history that this star-studded show will broadcast from Orlando.

Big start to lunch Rob Stone will host with analysts Mark Ingram II, Matt Leinart, Urban Meyer and Brady Quinn, reporters Bruce Feldman and Tom Rinaldi, and betting expert Chris “The Bear” Fallica. Legendary DJ and record producer DJ Khaled will also make a special appearance.

3:30 p.m. — Kickoff: UCF vs. Colorado at FBC Mortgage Stadium

UCF Football faces its first opponent, Colorado, at 3:30 p.m. with the goal of starting the season 4-0 for the first time since 2018. The game, which was sold out for fans, will be broadcast on FOX.

Students who have claimed digital tickets (pink) for the Colorado game are guaranteed entry – but MUST be in the student line on the northwest side of the stadium at least 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

Gates six to nine open to students 90 minutes before kick-off – at 2 p.m

All Colorado digital student tickets have been claimed. However, students can still request standby passes (blue) for the game. If the capacity of the student area is not reached, students with a standby pass will be granted access to the stadium from 30 minutes before kick-off.

Rules for boxes and signs

pit

  • By entering the box, fans agree that FOX may use collected media such as videos or images for the broadcast and marketing of their show without compensation.
  • No food or drinks are allowed in the pit. Please plan to dispose of these before entering.
  • No bags are allowed in the pit. These include, among other things, backpacks, book bags or wallets.
  • No markers, pens, pencils or dry erase boards.
  • Signs in the pit may not be attached to poles, sticks or other extensions.
  • Signs require approval from FOX and UCF staff. Those attempting to enter the pit may be denied entry if their sign is deemed inappropriate. The person must dispose of the sign at their own risk.
  • Anyone entering the pit assumes risk and is subject to search or removal by security personnel.

Sign

  • Fans can bring their own signs.
  • No derogatory, vulgar or political messages are allowed. Signs may be removed at the discretion of FOX or UCF staff.
  • No sponsored signs or notices on .com or other websites.
  • While signs with poles, sticks or other extensions are permitted behind the box, such extensions are NOT permitted at FBC Mortgage Stadium.

Parking, road closures and shuttles

Park

On Saturday, free parking will be available in Garages A, B and I and in lots B5, B6, B9 and H4 starting at 8 a.m. when game day activities begin.

Parking permits for the Gold Zone

On Saturday, Athletics Gold Zone parking permits are required for Garages C, D and F, Lots C1-C3, D1-D2 and E1-E8 and the Baseball Field. Vehicles in these areas without the required game day permit must be towed at 5 a.m. Overnight parking is also not permitted in Garage H.

Barrier-free parking

For theBig start to lunchIn the show, people with disabilities can access accessible parking spaces by displaying a valid ADA hang tag or license plate. Parking for guests with disabilities is available on the first level of Garage C with appropriate approval from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, subject to availability. The person to whom the permit was issued must be with the vehicle.

Student shuttles

UCF will provide regular service buses to all apartment complexes on game days, with the exception of Northview, Tivoli and Northgate due to their close proximity to the stadium. The service for these congregations begins at 8 a.m. and ends two hours after the end of the game.

Rosen College and UCF Downtown shuttles depart their respective campuses at 8:00 a.m., with an additional trip at 11:30 a.m. You will leave the main campus at 7:30 p.m. A valid UCF ID is required to access all student shuttles.

Road closures on match day

Gemini Boulevard North closes at 7 a.m. from West Plaza Drive to North Orion Boulevard

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., all lanes of North Orion Boulevard will be reserved for traffic exiting campus, meaning no traffic will be able to enter campus via North Orion Boulevard.

Knights Victory Way closes at 5 a.m. until approximately 90 minutes after the game.

East Plaza Drive between Knights Victory Way and Gemini Boulevard will be closed starting at 2 a.m. on game day.

Clear bag policy

If you are attending the game, don’t forget that there is a clear bag rule in place to provide a safer environment and quicker entry for fans. This policy limits the size and type of bags that may be brought to all sporting events at FBC Mortgage Stadium. There is no place in the stadium for fans to check in their luggage. While fans are encouraged not to bring luggage, those who do can check the policy. For more information, see the UCF Game Day Guide.

What to wear

Fans attending the game are asked to darken FBC Mortgage Stadium. You can find clothing through shopucfknights.com.
