YaYa Diaby: If Bucs do their job, they should eat a “W” – JoeBucsFan.com

Inspiration from Al Davis?

This week in the Bucs locker room, YaYa Diaby channeled a legendary NFL figure.

And that would be Al Davis, the owner of the Raiders who died in 2011.

No, he wasn’t based on Bill Belicheat or Bill Parcells, but on Davis – the originator of “Do your job”.

The second-year edge rusher believes the Dixie Chicks can destroy the Bucs’ defense in a variety of ways. He mentioned that to Joe this week. However, the task is easy for every player, said Diaby.

“For us, we have to go there with the mindset that we’re going to do our job,” Diaby said.

So what is that? Now, Diaby said, to ensure that all of Atlanta’s offensive weapons are properly defended.

“They have a lot of guys who can play for them,” Diaby said. “You’ve got (Drake) London, (Bijan) Robinson, now (Darnell) Mooney is getting involved.

“And I can’t forget Kyle Pitts.”

Diaby is right, although Pitts is off to arguably his worst start, going without a catch Sunday against New Orleans.

Diaby agreed with Joe that one reason Atlanta can hit a defense in so many different ways is because they have a more diverse offense.

“They’re using more different players this year,” Diaby said. “We’ll see that.”

Still, Diaby believes that if the Bucs can carry out Al Davis’ orders to Bill Parcells, everything will be fine for the Bucs.

“If we can take care of these guys and slow them down, we’ll have a great game,” Diaby said.

Yes, 4:1 would definitely feel good.
