WWE Raw (10/7/24) Results: Sami Zayn challenges Gunther for the WWE World Championship, Xavier Woods faces Jey Uso

On Monday, October 7, 2024, WWE presented its latest episode of Monday Night Raw on the USA Network.

After 12 years, WWE Raw will be a two-hour broadcast starting tonight and continuing until at least the end of the year, when the show completes its tenure on the USA Network.

Gunther defeats Sami Zayn to retain the World Heavyweight Championship and faces Cody Rhodes on WWE Raw

This week’s episode will feature Sami Zayn challenging Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Xavier Woods will also look to win his first singles title by challenging Jey Uso for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Also scheduled is an appearance by Seth Rollins, and Pete Dunne and Sheamus will try to sell their copies at a Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook.

WWE Raw (10/7) results

– Sexyy Red opened the show and danced in the ring

– WWE Bad Blood highlight package airs.

– CM Punk opened the show with a promo from the stage.

-CM Punk claimed he was too injured to know if he would still be around in the future. He thanked his fans and haters for keeping him going. He told me to keep doubting him and wanted to say he would see her again soon, but he wasn’t sure. Seth Rollins came out and there was a tense moment between them.

– Seth Rollins says he’s shocked at how things have changed since he left and chastises Cody for working with Roman. He says he wants to kick CM Punk’s ass when he comes back. He called on Bronson Reed for a future game and said he was ready for him this time.

* WWE Intercontinental Championship: Jey Uso (c) def. Xavier Woods

– Xavier Woods refused to shake Uso’s hand and then argued with Kofi Kingston about it. Bron Breakker came out and hit Uso with a spear. Xavier tried to dissuade Kingston from helping him, but he did anyway and was impaled. Breakker even attacked Xavier.

– A vignette of Rhea Ripley aired stating that Raquel Rodriguez was delaying the inevitable future beating of Liv Morgan.

– Another Viking Rune vignette airs

– Cody Rhodes walks backstage. There are various technical difficulties in this section.

– A vignette airs for the upcoming match between Sheamus and Pete Dunne.

– Backstage The Miz spoke with Karrion Kross. R-Truth shows up and asks Miz why he isn’t responding to his text messages. Miz reveals that they are no longer a real team. The truth is angered. Miz challenges a match for next week.

* Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook: Sheamus defeated. Pete Dunne

– Raquel Rodriguez came into the arena along with Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio. Morgan agreed to accept Ripley’s victory at Bad Blood via DQ, but she still held the championship, as did Dom and Rodriguez. This means she was the only person to win despite losing. Redmond asked Rodriguez if she was officially on Judgment Day. They ignored her and left.

-Ava met Adam Pearce in the back. Ethan Page entered and introduced himself to Pearce. Page lamented that Punk had lost him the NXT Championship and asked him to do something about it. Pearce said Ava was the one who made Punk the referee. Sexyy Red appeared. Page was ready to shake her hand as she explained that Trick Williams had beaten his ass.

* Lyra Valkyria, Natalya, Zelina Vega, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance def. Pure Fusion Collective (Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark) & Unholy Union (Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre)

* WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) def. Sami Zayn

– WWE Champion Cody Rhodes stared at Gunther on the ramp.
