CM Punk Def. Drew McIntyre

The Big 3 (Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Naomi) opened the show as hosts, and then WWE immediately lowered the cage as they talked about how rarely Drew McIntyre and CM Punk hate each other.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk called back Bret Hart against Steve Austin with a bloody sniper. Then they appeared to be making a reference to 1998’s “Hell in a Cell” using thumbtacks, but instead they were plastic beads for a friendship bracelet.

The main ingredients for this game were a wrench, a steel step, a table and friendship beads. It all came together to create a fantastic story that was reminiscent of ’90s WWE while maintaining continuity with CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s literal blood feud.

Nia Jax Def. Bayley

Nia Jax wore Bloodline red in her last title defense, which may or may not be a coincidence.

Poor Bayley and Nia Jax were tasked with watching a brutal Hell in a Cell match. They actually did a good job of getting the crowd involved, especially when Bayley provoked a powerbomb on Nia Jax. Nia countered with an extremely awkward hurricanrana that temporarily killed the crowd.

Fans chanted “Tiffy Time!” and “We want Tiffy” as the match continued. Bayley played with the crowd by pointing at her wrist.

Jax was better than ever in this current run, but botched several spots, including the pop-up Samoan Drop on Bayley. Bayley came back with a Samoan Drop of her own.

As Jax moved, she landed on referee Jessika Carr. This led to inevitable speculation that Tiffany Stratton would enter the ring. When Bayley caught Nia in a three-count visual attack, Stratton went into the ring and knocked Bayley down with the briefcase. Stratton woke up Jessika Carr, but Nia Jax sat up like the Undertaker.

Damian Preist Def. Finn Balor

WWE legends in attendance include Quavo, Lil Baby, Goldberg, X-Pac, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Diamond Dallas Page, Killer Mike, Booker T and Metro Boomin.

The fans seemed exhausted by this game, which had the lowest stakes. Balor’s strategy was to take down the big tree, and the fans rallied behind Priest as he went for it. Priest has great fire and is on his way to becoming an elite babyface.

As Priest got closer to a win, Carlito hit the ring and distracted the referee. JD McDonagh attacked Priest from the outside, resulting in a coup de grace, but Priest kicked out.

Priest took over all of Judgment Day, but when he went for a South of Heaven, Balor turned him into a rollup for another nearfall. Balor came back with two more coup de graces. Priest took the victory in the South of Heaven.

Triple H announces WWE Crown Jewel Championship

Triple H announced 16,092 fans, WWE’s 60th sellout of 2024. He also announced the highest-grossing arena event in State Farm Arena history.

Triple H appeared next to a championship belt as he announced that the WWE World Champion and WWE Champion will face off in just four weeks. Neither title will be at stake, but there will be a definite winner, and the winner will be crowned the Crown Jewel Champion.

GUNTHER interrupts Triple H and calls Goldberg. After saying just last month that Goldberg was his favorite wrestler, he turned on his former idol by calling him a “one-trick pony.”

Before Goldberg and GUNTHER could fight – after GUNTHER insulted Goldberg as a father – Sami Zayn entered the ring and attacked GUNTHER. For more information on the WWE Crown Jewel Championship, click here.

Rhea Ripley Def. Liv Morgan by DQ

Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan arrived in Dom’s famous low rider, but Dom was immediately thrown into the cage. The cage was raised above the ring, but not into the middle of the ring.

After Rhea dominated Ripley early in this match, Liv Morgan attacked Rhea’s leg.

Liv Morgan debuted a unique new move – the Homewrecker – against Rhea Ripley, resulting in a nearfall. A great name for a move, but she should have debuted it as an alternate finisher. The Homewrecker is a modified made in Japan.

Dominik Mysterio was able to open the shark cage door, the bet was still up in the air.

Rhodes And Reigns Def. The Bloodline

Cody Rhodes was played by an HBCU marching band (University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff), while Roman Reigns was played by a full orchestra (the Georgia Philharmonic). Meanwhile, AEW’s main event is inspired by the skinhead movie Romper Stomper. Pro wrestling has something to offer for everyone.

Jacob Fatu remained as strong as anyone and was only taken out when he was sent through a table by a Cody Rhodes splash. This protected him from taking a pin.

Jimmy Uso returned and helped Roman Reigns win by pinning Solo Sikoa. After the match, The Rock made his long-awaited (and rumored) return. This should be another great WarGames match at Survivor Series.
