A woman traveling alone has revealed the one place in the world she would never return to.
Christina Ford, 63, explained on TikTok which place she would never return to after experiencing something unexpected when leaving her hotel.

“Don’t do it,” she warned on TikTok.
Christina – who goes by @insearchofmrdarcy – explained that she had been shocked by a number of different things during her holiday, explaining: “I was alone and wanted to go for a drink. It was about 5.30pm and I wanted to watch the sunset.”
“I sat down in the first place I went into – the place was probably about a third full – a lot of the seats were empty. So I said I was just there for a drink before meeting some friends for dinner.
“They said it was at least 100 euros. I said, ‘So you expect one person to have spent 100 euros on drinks alone?’
“They said, ‘I’m sorry, those are the rules.'”
Christina said she moved on to a second room, which was completely empty except for a couple.
When asked if she had a reservation and was alone, she replied that she was looking for a single table and would only stay for about half an hour.
In the end, she was told she needed a reservation, so the woman went to another restaurant.

“The fourth place I visited, they took me with them,” she added, explaining that Mykonos is not a destination if you are traveling alone.
“Cross it off your list, it’s not worth it.”
But it wasn’t the only problem Christina had with the Greek island.
“It’s gotten so crazy,” she said.
The traveler explained that she was shocked when checking out of her hotel when the staff asked her if she wanted to leave a tip.
“I get my hotel bill, I check out… hotel costs, taxes on top, room service I used at the pool, (the) tip I left on top.
“I put down my credit card, but they leave a little bit free and wait for me… Excuse me, you want me to leave a tip on top of the tips I already gave, in addition to the room tax for the room?
“This culture is going crazy… Has anyone ever been asked to tip on their room rate?
“I have never seen anything like this in all my years of traveling.”

TikTok viewers were divided. While some suggested Christina try another island, others agreed that they had had similar experiences in other parts of Europe.
