Wisconsin football fans and JJ Watt react to Badgers’ loss to Alabama

play

It was not without reason that Wisconsin’s football team was a clear underdog against Alabama.

As it turned out, the 16-point lead could have been even bigger, as the Crimson Tide dominated in every facet, crushing the Badgers 42-10 at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday.

The Badgers lost their starting quarterback Tyler Van Dyke to an injury on their first possession and things just went downhill from there.

Wisconsin (2-1) couldn’t keep up with the speed of the Crimson Tide and Heisman Trophy candidate Jalen Milroe, and the Badgers made too many mistakes. Two turnovers and a missed field goal turned into three touchdowns for Alabama.

Luke Fickell’s team was able to get away with inconsistent play against Western Michigan and South Dakota in the first two weeks, but they couldn’t do that against the extremely talented Crimson Tide (3-0). And in the end, the Badgers showed that they simply aren’t in Alabama’s league.

This ongoing realization has left Wisconsin football fans and followers of the program on social media terribly frustrated with the direction of the program over the past two years, with many former prominent players speaking out as well.
