Why did Snoop Dogg cry during the premiere of The Voice 26? This is what we know

Snoop Dogg showed his emotional side at the premiere of the 26th season of The Voice. While Ben Fagerstedt and Michael Bublé joined him, they lit up the stage with their singing. Watching it all, Dogg became vulnerable and emotional.

At the start of the new season, Dogg and Bublé were joined by other coaches, including Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. Ben, who is also a huge Bublé fan, gave his audition by performing I’ve Got You Under My Skin; unfortunately, he received no reward from the coaches.

But after all that, the Holly Jolly Christmas singer still tries to help him with some helpful advice. He points out the difference between traditional singing and a pop voice. Then he joins Ben on stage and sings a duet of the above song.

While all this is happening, the Young, Wild & Free artist gets emotional and at the end, he is seen wiping away tears, according to Entertainment Weekly. Dogg isn’t shy about praising Bublé.

He said: “That’s what this show is about – making these people better at what they do, whether they make it on the show or not.” He added: “That’s our job as coaches.”

It seems that this season is full of never-before-seen moments, including newly introduced twists. For example, this season introduces the Coach Replay Button, which the coaches can use if they forget to turn around after the audition.

The feature was used when Kendall Eugine made his entrance without being able to turn around. The situation changed when McEntire told him that she didn’t understand why she didn’t turn around during his audition; she then decided to press the replay button.

This moment became very emotional as Kendall broke down at this huge turn of events and once again we can see the rap mogul getting emotional with him. This moment was certainly an emotional one for the audience as well.

As all of this is playing out, Dogg can be heard telling other coaches, “When I see a guy cry, it makes me cry.” Since the premiere starts with such heavy yet inspiring moments, we can safely assume that this season will be a fun and entertaining ride. You can watch The Voice season 26 on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
