Walmart heiress Alice Walton is now considered the richest woman in the world and all eyes are on her to see who she will support in the upcoming presidential election.

Walton, 74, the only daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton, is said to be worth $95.1 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

She ranks behind her brothers Rob and Jim on the billionaires list, and each sibling owns nearly 12 percent of the retail giant. She has reportedly amassed more than $15 billion over the years through stock sales and dividends.

The richest woman in the world uses her wealth for charitable purposes and has already made numerous political donations to both parties.

According to public records, Walton is a registered Republican and has donated to Nikki Haley’s 2023 campaign – even after Donald Trump announced he would run again.

But Walton supported Hillary Clinton in 2016 – and has donated parts of her staggering fortune to Democrats in the past.

She has not publicly said who she is supporting in the 2024 presidential election between Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to Federal Election Commission records, the heiress donated in 2020 to the left-leaning political action committee ActBlue and Democratic politicians such as Hakeem Jefferies.

In 2016, Walton donated a whopping $353,400 to the Hillary Victory Fund. She also donated to Clinton’s 2008 campaign, but according to Forbes, she donated $10,000 to John McCain that same year.

Walton turned her attention to curating art after purchasing her first piece at just 10 years old.

This interest led her to become the director of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, which opened to the public in 2011 in her hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas.

Walton, who had previously been charged with drunken driving but was later dropped, is said to have donated her own art collection as the basis for the exhibitions and spent over $300 million to build the institution.

It now displays works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollock and Norman Rockwell.

The museum’s website describes Walton as a philanthropist who is “committed to improving access to the arts, promoting education, improving health, and increasing economic opportunity for all.”

In addition, she bred horses for over a decade on a ranch in Texas, which she sold in 2015 after owning six championship horses over the years.

In 2017, she founded the Alice L. Walton Foundation, which, according to her biography, is committed to increasing access to the arts, improving education, strengthening health, and increasing economic opportunity for all.

In 2022, the holistic health institute she founded in Bentonville the previous year was renamed the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine.
