Wheel of Fortune fans love the Unfair bonus puzzle

Wheel of Fortune The new era with host Ryan Seacrest is now in full swing and it wasn’t long before a bonus puzzle aired that, according to fans, wasn’t the best of the best.

Derrick Balfour of Frederick, Maryland emerged victorious on the Tuesday, October 1st episode of the week-long BetMGM Big Winners tournament. With $13,200 in cash and a prize trip to Las Vegas, he advanced to the bonus round and chose the “Food and Drink” category.

As he stood on the Seacrest stage, Derrick was shown the two-word puzzle and chose “M, D, K, A” as his additional letters (a departure from the more common “C, D, M, A”) . Just a “K” and an “A” were added by the iconic Vanna White, who stunned in a bright pink dress. The riddle was “‘_AS_E_ ‘ ‘_ _ LK.’

Derrick knew immediately that it was “Something ‘milk,'” but didn’t get much further than that, rattling off “cheese milk,” “goose milk,” and other variations. The 10-second timer expired and Derrick couldn’t solve the problem. Seacrest quipped, “Some of the great dairy products for protein, those dairy products.

“But no,” he clarified: “It’s ‘cashew milk’.”

Derrick missed out on an additional $40,000. Seacrest assured he was “close” and reminded him that due to the tournament’s format, he could come back in Friday’s finals episode.

However, fans took to social media to cry over spilled milk and denounce the mystery WoF Clip on YouTube.

“Wheel of Fortune will do its best to make sure you don’t solve the final puzzle,” one X user wrote during the airtime.

“Who the hell is going to think about cashew let alone say a W I’m pissed,” wrote another.

“Who the hell drinks CASHEW MILK?” echoed a third.

“This puzzle?? It stinks. I never drink this milk. That’s why I was a bit perplexed. thought it was…. egg yolk? something. Christ come on man,” one YouTuber wrote.

“I’ve heard of almond milk, but not cashew milk. If he had said a “C” he would have understood,” wrote another.

“The puzzles are SUPER STUPID now, especially the last ones. Is Maggie Sajak making them up in her head?” a third shouted, calling out poor Maggie Sajak (Pat Sajak’s daughter is the WoF social media correspondent, has no say in puzzles).

In the meantime, fans are becoming familiar with Seacrest as WoF’s new frontman after watching Sajak every night for four decades. He has kept his ratings steady; When Season 42 debuted, he had his strongest week in five years. But apparently some things never change.

During Sajak’s tenure, especially towards the end, there were a lot of bonus puzzles in WoF that fans didn’t like. Season 40 featured the similarly questionable “Frothy Milk” and the infamous mystery “Taking a Quick Jog.”

In this case, the contestant who missed it went viral by challenging Pat as the puzzle was categorized under the “Fun and Games” category. “Well, I don’t think jogging is fun and games,” he said to the former host’s face
