Despite injuries and penalties, the Houston Texans’ third drive ended with a touchdown.

Quarterback CJ Stroud found receiver Nico Collins on a third-and-goal pass, leading the Jacksonville Jaguars, 14-10.

The Texans go into the third quarter with a lead of 17:13.

Houston went to an empty set after running back Dare Ogunbowale waved from the backfield in front of Collins, who was going one-on-one with Jaguars safety Andre Cisco.

Stroud diagnosed the mismatch and contacted the league’s receiving yards leader to give the go-ahead.

The Texans needed 12 plays to travel 74 yards for the score, with more than seven minutes remaining. Houston survived two penalties, but also benefited from a Jaguars foul that gave the Texans an automatic first down in the red zone.

Houston watched left tackle Laremy Tunsil leave the game with an ankle injury, while rookie tackle Blake Fisher took his place for the remainder of the drive.

Receiver Stefon Diggs also left with an injury but remained on the sidelines.

Stroud finished the first half 15 of 20 for 218 yards and a touchdown, continuing his strong play against the Jaguars in his young career.

Collins was the top target with five passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.
