The Jayhawks (1-3, 0-1 in the Big 12) suffered a 32-28 road loss to West Virginia. The Horned Frogs (2-2, 0-1) suffered a 66-42 loss on the road against SMU. Both teams are fighting for their first Big 12 win this season.

Kansas is on a three-game losing streak. TCU is on a two-game losing streak. The teams have not played each other since the 2022 season, when the Jayhawks lost 38-31 to the Horned Frogs in Lawrence.
