Virgin Industrial Park: Construction phase one completed

PHOENIX — A large-scale industrial park in Glendale is moving forward, the project’s general contractor said Monday.

According to Graycor Construction Company, phase one of the Virgin Industrial Park construction project was recently completed.

The first phase of the project by developer IndiCap consists of three buildings with an area of over 90,000 square meters. There are also divisibility offers down to 7,000 square meters to meet the market need for medium and large-sized spaces for companies.

Now that the first phase is complete, companies in the Virgin Industrial Park can use one of the three available buildings:

  • Building A, a 53,000 square meter transshipment warehouse.
  • Building B, a 19,547 square meter rear loader.
  • Building C, a 22,500 square foot rear loader.

Once completed, the industrial park will cover more than 130,000 square feet east of Loop 303 and north of Northern Parkway at Olive Avenue and Reems Road.

The buildings in the first phase have several features, such as a clear height of 32 to 36 feet, dock height and ground level doors. The buildings also have plenty of space for parking cars and trailers, as well as quick parking spaces of up to 70 feet. Finally, they have secured concrete parking areas for trucks.

Graycor also said there are preparatory improvements such as dedicated office space, LED lighting, warehouse heating and ventilation systems and mechanical pit levelers.

Rusty Martin, General Manager of Graycor, said the projects reflected IndiCap’s high standards for commercial projects.

IndiCap, a Las Vegas-based development group, entered the Arizona market two years ago with the purchase of 113 acres of land near the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

“Virgin Industrial Park lives up to IndiCap’s reputation for quality and attention to detail,” Martin said in a press release. “Its size and diversity will bring great energy to the project, supported by sophisticated industrial facilities that “directly address today’s tenant needs.”
