Trump’s game day meal for the Alabama-Georgia football game was reportedly revealed

Former President Donald Trump has reportedly timed his game day meal to coincide with when he’s expected to watch one of the biggest college football games of the season on Saturday, and the 78-year-old candidate doesn’t appear worried about his health or making his diet about his choices.

Trump, who is expected to attend the game between No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Alabama in Tuscaloosa, reportedly requested a meal that included two McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish sandwiches with cheese, Domino’s pizza , Stadium Hot Dogs and Diet Coke. According to Alabama businessman Ric Mayers via AL.com.

Mayers invited Trump to Saturday’s game and took responsibility for ensuring Trump’s guests had tickets and ordering the food the former president requested.

McDonald’s fish sandwiches have been a Trump’s trademark for years. During his first campaign in 2016, Trump said in a CNN town hall that the sandwich was “his favorite food.”

“I am a very clean person. I like cleanliness,” Trump said. “I think it’s better to go there than to go somewhere where you might have no idea where the food comes from. It’s a certain standard. But I think the food is good.”

Trump served huge portions of McDonald’s to several championship sports teams that visited the White House to celebrate their titles while Trump was in his first term in office. Those teams include the 2019 national football champions, the Clemson Tigers, and this year’s women’s college basketball champions, the Baylor Bears.

The combination of the two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches with cheese will total 780 calories with 28 grams of fat and 1,160 milligrams of sodium in Trump’s meal, according to nutrition information on McDonald’s.com. However, the Filet-O-Fish sandwiches are considered one of the healthier things on the McDonald’s menu, as they each contain zero grams of trans fat and 16 grams of protein.

However, the addition of the Domino’s pizza could significantly increase the amount of calories and fat. Trump would add 288 calories and 9.69 grams of fat for every slice of regular cheese pizza he puts on his plate. However, if he opted for a whole 14-inch cake, it would be 2,222 calories and 77.6 grams of fat, according to the USDA.

Trump indulges in this public appearance and decadent meal, even though he only survived the second assassination attempt on his life in three months on September 16th.

At 78, his age and health raised concerns about his candidacy, particularly among Democrats, after President Biden withdrew from the race amid concerns about his health and age.

However, Trump’s personal doctor, Dr. Bruce Aronwald, last November, released the former president’s medical report, noting that he was in excellent health despite his advanced age and noting that his cognitive exams were “extraordinary.”

He wrote that Trump’s cardiovascular exams were “normal,” that all of his cancer screenings came back negative and that he had “reduced his weight through improved diet and continued daily physical activity while maintaining a strict schedule.”

“I believe that President Trump is currently in excellent health and will continue to lead a healthy, active lifestyle for years to come due to his continued interest in preventative health monitoring and maintenance,” Aronwald added.

Aside from the game day meal, Trump’s expected presence at the event is one of the most anticipated appearances of the college football season.
