Trevon Diggs injury update: Cowboys announce DB’s status after heading to the locker room against the Giants

At the beginning of the fourth quarter Trevon Diggs went straight to the locker room with the Dallas Cowboys training staff. The franchise later announced that he was questionable due to dehydration.

Prime videos Kaylee Hartung confirmed that Diggs received an IV after he cramped on a play with just over 11 minutes left in the game at MetLife Stadium. In the end, the Giants kicked a field goal to end the dram and cut the Cowboys’ lead to 17-15.

Diggs’ departure left question marks at cornerback for the Cowboys, who are looking to avoid a 1-3 start to the season. He entered Thursday with 16 tackles and one interception in the first three games. However, he returned to the field just over seven minutes before the end of the game.

Trevon Diggs’ injury was the latest scare for Dallas to see as well Micah Parsons leaving in the second quarter. He immediately went to the injury tent after the referee pulled him off the field, and Hartung said he was being examined possible sting. He later returned to the game, but was always there after that.

When Parsons made the tackle Wan’Dale Robinsonteammate Mazi Smith came to help him and appeared to hit him in the helmet. The referee then took him to the sideline where he met with the coaching staff. The team later said he had a neck injury but would continue to participate in the game.

“Micah Parsons was checked for a neck injury in the medical tent,” Hartung said later in the second quarter. “I was told the cause was a sting, which is irritation of a nerve at the end of the neck. That helps explain why they needed so many medical professionals in the tent to get him back on the field.”

Then, DeMarcus Lawrence went to the locker room after limping off the field in the third quarter. He was listed as questionable a foot injury and was also seen on the sidelines with his helmet on.

The Cowboys added another field goal in the fourth quarter to give themselves a 20-15 lead over the Giants with time remaining. They had touchdowns from CeeDee Lamb And Brandon Aubreybut field goals were the be-all and end-all for both teams.
