I wonder who Katharina von Beetlejuice is? Not sure what “giant cat bear” means in Chinese? Don’t worry, I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle.

The NYT Mini is a quick and easy version of the newspaper’s longer-running crossword. Most days there are between three and five clues in each direction on a 5×5 grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

In contrast to its bigger brother, the NYT Mini Crossword puzzle is free to play on the New York Times Website or NYT Games app. However, you need a NYT Game subscription for access to previous puzzles in the archive.

So that you don’t get stuck and have to look up missing letters, here you will find the NYT Mini Crossword answers for Thursday, September 5 (Of course there are spoilers):

It has me 0:36 to complete today’s NYT Mini.

It wasn’t as quick to solve as yesterday, but I’ll take it. I only missed DONUT and OLDIE on my first run through the horizontal clues, but I finished everything with one run through the vertical words. I’m not usually a big fan of clues that link to each other in crosswords, but I liked how DONUT and HOLE fit together. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go order some candy.
