Titans QB Will Levis exits early due to a shoulder injury against the Dolphins and will be replaced by Mason Rudolph

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis injured his right shoulder during a Monday night game against the Miami Dolphins and left the game late in the first quarter. With just over four minutes left in the quarter, substitute Mason Rudolph took the lead, while Levis’ return was considered questionable.

Levis was injured diving for the first-down marker on third down of the Titans’ second drive. He left the field and briefly went to the medical tent before returning to the sideline to throw a few passes.

The QB completed three passes on four attempts for 25 yards and one interception. The pick, which came during the Titans’ first possession, was Levis’ ninth turnover of the season. Dolphins linebacker Emmanuel Ogbah secured the interception with his legs.

Rudolph completed three short passes to lead the Titans to the 35-yard line, where Nick Folk kicked a 53-yard field goal to give Tennessee a 3-0 lead. The Titans’ next drive ended similarly with a 52-yard field goal by Folk to take a 6-0 lead.

Entering the game against Miami, Levis had totaled 579 passing yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions.
