TikTok influencer Mr. Prada arrested in connection with the murder of a therapist in Baton Rouge

TikTok influencer Mr. Prada, born Terryon Ishmael Thomas, was arrested Tuesday evening in connection with the brutal murder of a prominent Baton Rouge, Louisiana, therapist.

20-year-old Thomas has a fan base of over 8.2 million users across all social media platforms. He was arrested in Dallas, Texas after it was discovered that he was involved in the murder of William Nicholas Abraham. He was found behind the wheel of Abraham’s car in the days after the therapist’s murder. When local police tried to stop the vehicle, Thomas crashed and fled on foot. An officer identified Thomas as the driver based on a lineup.

The influencer is being held without bail on a number of charges, including resisting an officer, aggravated criminal damage to property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to jail records reviewed by TheWrap.

Although Thomas has not yet been charged with murder, Baton Rouge police identified him over the weekend as the main suspect in Abraham’s murder. The therapist’s body was found wrapped in a tarp and dumped in a ditch on the side of the road. Sheriff Gerald Sticker told news outlets Monday that the fatal trauma affected Abraham’s head, neck and shoulders, calling it a “very physical, very violent death.”

Thomas now faces an extradition hearing before a Texas judge that will determine whether he should be sent back to Louisiana to face charges in the Baton Rouge Police Department warrant.

Baton Rouge PD officials had no further comment to TheWrap.

Known for his comedy content on TikTok, online fans are now taking a closer look at Thomas’ viral videos, particularly some darker posts in which he shares that he suffers from bipolar disorder and depression.

A resurfaced video shows Mr Prada practicing for his mugshot in May 2023 and writing: “Someone will meet God if they piss me off too much.”

Another TikTok compilation shows Thomas detailing his mental health struggles. The TikTok star noted that he suffers from bipolar disorder: “I tried to hide it but it just slipped out.”

The last video he posted on TikTok was on September 10th. Across two TikTok accounts, Thomas has 8.2 million followers and over 550 million likes.

In 2015, Abraham was arrested in Baton Rouge after he allegedly groped an 11-year-old boy during a therapy session, but was never charged. Even if the age and time frame matched, the therapist’s former attorney, Jarrett Ambeau, defended the therapist on Wednesday, saying, “That’s clearly not true (Thomas).”

Police have not released a possible motive for Abraham’s murder.
