The preview numbers for Thursday evening are available Joker: Folie à Deux and the latest DC film only grossed $7 million. It is worth noting that the number also includes whatever joker Sequel picked up from early showings across North America on Monday.

Tracking is everywhere Joker: Folie à Deuxbut a $50 million debut is a best-case scenario at this point (it’s currently expected to land somewhere between $48 million and $53 million).

What makes matters worse is the PostTrak score; We talk a lot about CinemaScore here, but it’s an exit survey service that tracks audience demographics and the aspects of each title that drive interest and viewership.

Joker: Folie À Deux finds Arthur Fleck in an asylum in Arkham, awaiting trial for his crimes as the Joker. As he struggles with his dual identity, Arthur not only encounters true love, but also finds the music that has always been within him.

In the sequel, Joaquin Phoenix can be seen again in his Oscar-winning double role as Arthur Fleck/Joker alongside Oscar winner Lady Gaga (A star is born). The film also stars Oscar nominee Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin) and Catherine Keener (Exit), alongside Zazie Beetz, who reprises her role from joker.
