Manchester residents are being told to prepare for crazy times in September as the world’s first Peanut Butty shop opens in Manchester.
For one day only, the Northern Quarter will be home to peanut butter brand Proper Nutty in the run-up to Freshers Week festivities. The pop-up shop will open on Wednesday 4 September and will offer peanut butter enthusiasts the chance to discover a variety of “delicious and quirky creations”.
The opportunity to try exclusive nut creations, from the classic peanut butter sandwich to innovative peanut butter snacks, will leave customers’ taste buds craving more, say the creators of the concept.

Guests of the unique sandwich shop can visit the exciting new pop-up shop from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of sandwiches.
And whether you like it soft or prefer it crunchy, the Peanut Butty Shop has something for everyone, including Proper Nutty’s unique Smunchy, which has been described as “the best of both worlds”.
With the opening of the store in the city center Simon Greenwood-Haigh, chief peanut expert at Proper Nutty, said: “Our Peanut Buttery Shop is all about celebrating the joy of peanut butter in a fun and creative way.”
He continued: “We can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions!”
“Manchester’s Northern Quarter is the perfect location for our pop-up shop,” added Simon. “It’s a hub of creativity and excitement and we’re excited to add our crazy flair to the mix.”
The peanut butter brand, Proper Nutty will be releasing more exclusive previews and updates ahead of its grand opening in the Northern Quarter, which will be open from 10am-6pm on Wednesday 4 September.
