Remember: Texas does not offer online voter registration. If you want to register to vote in this year’s presidential election, you have two options:

Register to vote by mail

Here’s how to register to vote now.

  • Visit the Texas Secretary of State’s website to start a new voter registration application.
  • Once the form is filled out, you must print out the application, sign it and send it to your district returning officer. To meet the voter registration deadline, your mail must be postmarked Monday, October 7th.

How to change my voter registration

When you register to vote or change your registration, a voter registration card will be mailed to you. This card usually includes:

  • Your name.
  • Your home address.
  • The address of the polling station where you will vote.
  • Your party affiliation, if you stated this when you registered.

If you are already registered to vote in Texas, you can update your mailing address online through the Texas Secretary of State’s office at txapps.texas.gov/tolapp/sos/SOSACManager. Make sure you do this no later than Monday.
