KANSAS CITY, Kansas (KCTV) – Forbes has released its list of “Best Employers by State” and a key component of Kansas’ healthcare system tops the state’s list.
The University of Kansas Health System was ranked the best employer in the Sunflower State among companies with at least 500 employees.
Forbes said it used new results from a survey conducted by Statista, which questioned more than 160,000 employees across the country about working at a large company. Survey respondents were asked to rate on a scale of zero to 10 how likely they were to recommend their employer to others.
The responses were integrated along with data from the last three years (with an emphasis on more recent data) to create a list of 30 Kansas companies.
The University of Kansas Health System knocked Garmin off the top spot in Kansas. Other companies in the top 10 included T-Mobile, Kansas State University and Olathe Public Schools.
