The Saints announce inactive players for their Week 4 game against the Falcons

.

.

On Friday, the New Orleans Saints ruled out two key players ahead of their game against the Atlanta Falcons. Demario Davis and Cesar Ruiz are out for this game, Davis will miss his first game ever due to injury, and that puts Willie Gay in the lineup alongside Pete Werner as they look to contain Bijan Robinson. The injuries to Ruiz and Erik McCoy on injured reserve mean the Saints will be without two interior offensive players this week.

Chris Olave suffered a hamstring injury on Friday that left his status in doubt, but at least Taysom Hill will be available. Hill missed last week’s game with a pectoral injury, and WDSU analyst James Hurst believes the offense was insignificant without Hill.

Atlanta, on the other hand, is much healthier than the Saints. Right tackle Kaleb McGary is the only player who did not practice Friday due to injury. He’s ruled out because their own starting center is on IR.

Here is each team’s inactive list:

Inactive New Orleans Saints players:

  • LB Demario Davis (hamstring)

  • G Cesar Ruiz (knee)

  • WR AT Perry (hamstring)

  • TE Dallin Holker

  • DT John Ridgeway

  • QB Spencer Rattler (emergency third quarterback)

Inactive Atlanta Falcons Players:

  • OT Kaleb McGary (knee)

  • Still open
