Greene finishes strong

In his second start since returning from injury, Hunter Greene finished the season strong. The right-hander pitched four scoreless innings. He allowed just one hit and struck out four. Greene finished the season with a 2.75 ERA over 150 1/3 innings.

It was Greene’s best season of his career.

Big 10th inning for the offense

The start of the 10th inning began with Noelvi Marte being picked off at second base. After that, Luke Maile singled, Jonathan India walked and Elly De La Cruz ripped a two-run double down the right field line to give the Reds a two-run lead and their first run since Wednesday.

Tyler Stephenson hit a single off De La Cruz to give the Reds a 3-0 lead.

Bullpen closes the door

After Greene threw four scoreless innings, Fernando Cruz, Brent Suter, Ian Gibaut, Tony Santillan and Buck Farmer combined to throw six scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
