Family-run team joins local ownership of popular, well-known brand

The business is now owned by husband and wife team Todd and Laycie Ewing and their daughter Elizabeth Ewing after they purchased the business on June 24. The Ewings plan to modernize the building and lunch cafe, with renovations beginning soon.
Todd brings over 30 years of sales and business experience to the company, coupled with Laycie’s career as an attorney. Additionally, Elizabeth has several years of sales and management experience and is eager to bring those skills to her family’s new business with the beloved heritage brand. With deep-rooted ties to the brand spanning over 30 years, the Ewings are the best new local owners for the Cartersville store.
“Not only have we been HoneyBaked customers for decades, but my wife’s family owned several ham shops when we met in college – and now we’re excited to be a part of its growth while leaving a legacy for our daughter,” said Todd Ewing. “In addition to the brand’s historic, well-known name, we also appreciate the company’s commitment to innovation that will attract another generation of consumers. Todd and Laycie are assembling a new team of store associates and planning a redesign of the store that will provide a fresh look and feel for customers. Their daughter Elizabeth has been appointed as director of business development and will handle sales and marketing for year-round office lunch catering as well as corporate ham gifts for the holidays.
