The highlight of the Blooded Horse Sale is Risenshine Seaside

Open Pacer Risenshine Seaside (Below) exceeded the 69th Annual thoroughbred horse sale at the Champions Center in Springfield, Ohio.

Risenshine Seaside wins at The Meadows

Risenshine Seaside, who races in Pennsylvania and Ohio, has already earned $58,465 in 14 races this year for consignor Burke Racing Stable. Cory Kreiser of Pittsburgh was very familiar with the beautiful bay gelding, purchased for $75,000, and hopes he continues his winning streak. The Burke Racing consignment also included the solid Hoosier Park-trained trotter Flirtin JK, purchased for $38,000 by William Hart of Maine.

Second place went to another open pacer, Odds On Blockchain, commissioned by Spring Haven Farm, Agent. Ohio’s Luke Hanners signed the $45,000 ticket for the son of JK Endofanera with total earnings of $202,431, including $66,120 this year at a race in Kentucky.

The yearling portion of the sale was the first opportunity for horse owners to realize their dreams for the next year. Interest was high and the crowds were mixed, with the 139 yearlings going to buyers from 14 states and Canada.

Pump Action, a noble brown son of an Ohio veteran Long Tomwas purchased by Rosy Weaver of Ohio for $29,000 from Walnut Valley Equine. Dublin Valley Farm brought a beautiful consignment led by the What the hell colt Dublins Sidney, with Ohio’s Dalton Walls signing the ticket for $28,000. Midland Acres’ well-equipped consignment included the filly Nice Set of Pipes from the first crop of With summa cum laudeIt was purchased by Dana Parham for $22,000.

Yearlings will be presented again at the Blooded Horse Fall Sale on Wednesday, November 20th, along with a wide selection of racehorses and breeding stock. Black Type Yearling entries close October 12th, and mixed horse entries in the main catalog close October 23rd.
