The Gretna Fest begins with music, rides at the festival and rides to the festival

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Thousands will flock to the West Bank this weekend as Gretna Fest celebrates its 30th year.

There is lots of good food and a top-class music program.

Featured artists include Dierks Bentley, Natasha Bedingfield, the Steve Miller Band, The Revivalists and Blue Öyster Cult – to name just a few.

There will also be rides at the festival for the first time since the pandemic, including a Ferris wheel for the first time ever. Food will of course be a highlight at Gretna Fest and it will be divided into villages with German, Asian and Italian cuisine on the menu. There is also a Margarita Village.

Gretna’s mayor says there will also be parking and shuttle options for people with disabilities.

The gates are open today from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There’s a lot to do here this weekend, Nola Now reporter Shan Bailey gives us a preview.

You can buy tickets online. Day passes are $40, weekend passes are $90 and tickets for children ages 5 to 12 are $5. We’ll be heading to Gretna Fest later this morning to highlight all the fun for you.
