The complete and unabridged Rodgers and Hammerstein 80th Anniversary London Concert is now available for digital purchase and rental

Audra McDonald, Julian Ovenden, Marisha Wallace and Patrick Wilson are among the star-studded line-up for the 2023 concert.

My favorite thingsthe 2023 London concert celebrating the 80th anniversary of the collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, is now available in its entirety for digital purchase and rental on Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play and Fandango At Home. DVD and Blu-ray editions will be released on June 4.

An abridged version of the concert was broadcast on PBS. Great achievements May 31. The unabridged edition was released in UK cinemas and as an on-demand stream in North America earlier this year. A live album of the concert was released digitally and as a double CD package on May 31.

The concert, which took place twice on December 12, 2023 at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane, included performances by Audra McDonald, Marisha Wallace, Daniel Dae Kim, Patrick Wilson, Aaron Tveit, Julian Ovenden, Maria Friedman, Michael Ball, Lucy St. Louis and Joanna Ampil – along with Anna-Jane Casey, Lily Kerhoas, Jonny Labey and Jordan Shaw. Special guests included Rita Moreno and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The performance also featured Jade Albertsen, Alex Louize Bird, Matthew Caputo, Dan Cooke, Barry Drummond, Harry Francis, Matt Gibson, Bethany Huckle, Brenda Newhouse, Emily Ann Potter, Sophie Pourret, Stephen Quildan and Rachel Wang-Hei Lau.

The event was directed and staged by Christopher Gattelli and featured a 40-piece orchestra conducted by Simon Lee. The film of the concert was shot by five-time BAFTA winner Julia Knowles.

Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II began working together in 1943 Oklahoma!a groundbreaking musical that is considered the first of the genre to fully integrate book, lyrics and choreography as storylines. Over the next two decades, they dominated Broadway as a writing and producing team, writing a number of classic musicals, including carousel, South Pacific, Allegro, The King and IAnd The sound of my music; and production I remember mom And Annie, get your gun.
