For some reason The perfect couple The cast wanted to forego the show’s silly group dance number. Were they born in Bomont? Director Susanne Bier told Vulture at the series premiere in Hollywood on Wednesday that she had to do a lot of convincing to bring the synchronized dance to our screens: “I wanted to do (the dance). It was my idea and I pushed for it. We sent (the cast) the video of the dance and they were like, ‘We’re not doing it, we’re not doing it, it’s too difficult.'” And as for the decision to use Meghan Trainor’s “Criminal”? Bier just loved the song and thought it was a perfect fit. “The fact that she only sings about criminals just worked.”

Meghann Fahy told diversity that she has trouble learning choreography, and the team even went so far as to open a WhatsApp group chat to oppose the idea: “Everyone in the group said they didn’t want to do it because we just didn’t understand it.” Kidman admitted that she thought her character, the famous and mysterious author Greer Winbury, wouldn’t do any dancing at her own son’s wedding: “Because I didn’t feel like Greer would dance! I thought Greer would be watching. But I danced as Greer. I think it’s great and I’m so glad they made us all do it. Because it’s fun.”

There was a brave performer who danced to his own rhythm, and that man was Liev Schreiber. He told diversity how he was already “practicing the dance steps” while everyone else was trying to delay the dance as much as possible. “I just love dancing and was a little disappointed when it turned out I wasn’t in it anymore because I thought I had done really well.”
