The Brother of Saints star is angry after the wide receiver was barely used in the first half of the loss to the Chiefs

After Monday night’s 26-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, some New Orleans Saints fans are wondering why a key part of their offense wasn’t more involved.

Wide receiver Chris Olave had a good start to his third season in the NFL – totaling 275 yards and a touchdown on 22 catches.

But on Monday Night Football, the receiver only managed two catches for 10 yards in the Saints’ loss.

That included just one score in the first half – a four-yard completion on the first drive of the game.

His brother, Josh Olave, posted his anger on X (formerly Twitter) and simply said: “1 target?”

Olave only had the fifth-most receiving yards on the team on a night where the offense really struggled to get going.

Quarterback Derek Carr completed just 18 of 28 passes for 165 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, which he threw on the first drive.

Carr also left the game injured – backup quarterback Jake Haener replaced him.

Even the ground game was stagnant – star running back Alvin Kamara only carried the ball 11 times for 26 yards.

Olave caught over 1,000 yards receiving in the first two seasons he was in the league, but he is currently on pace to reach that mark again as he is averaging just 55 yards per game in 2024.

The 2-3 Saints will hope to find more success for Olave next week when they face division rival Tampa Bay at home.
