The agency forms a joint venture and enters the mortgage world

Mauricios Umanskys The agency enters the mortgage business. The broker has entered into a joint venture with Barrett Financial Group to offer the agency’s luxury clients a wide range of mortgage products and streamlined underwriting, according to the companies.

Synchronized Aclara lending, The joint venture will launch in Southern California and plans to expand in the near future.

“This partnership marks a pivotal moment in our journey, bringing together a comprehensive suite of mortgage solutions with a strong focus on empowering brokers,” Burke Smith, executive vice president of affiliates at The Agency, said in a statement.

“We are excited to not only expand the resources available to our agents and customers, but also reinforce our commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry. We are proud to be at the forefront of providing our partners with unmatched support and growth opportunities by providing a complete ecosystem of best-in-class settlement services.”

In addition to more traditional products, Aclara Lending plans to raise capital from 140 wholesale lenders for products such as jumbo, super jumbo and non-qualified (non-QM) loans.

Aclara also uses technology in the underwriting process. It said it could offer comparisons to lenders Fannie Mae‘s Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Mac‘s one-click loan product advisor.

The company also has technology to instantly verify income and assets and can run soft credit checks conducted by one or all three credit bureaus.
