Texas vs. Venezuela in the LLWS tournament 2024: Final score for Boerne

play

A promising Little League Baseball World Series ended with Texas finishing fourth, while Boerne lost 4-3 to Venezuela in the third-place game on Sunday.

After losing to Florida on Saturday, Texas faced one of the tournament’s strongest teams. Despite a strong start that saw Texas take a 3-0 lead, Venezuela kept pressure on the base paths all morning and eventually scored four runs. The first of those runs came from Diego Biarreta, who hit a double to left center that scored Venezuela’s first run of the game.

Caden Guffey scored 3 2/3 for Texas and successfully fought his way out of several tricky situations. Despite several attacks by the Texas batters, Boerne was unable to score the all-important fourth run of the game.

10:15 am: Venezuela has a runner on first base with one out on a ground ball up the middle. There was a baserunner in each inning.

9:36 am: An error at third base puts the first runner on base for Venezuela, and a passed ball moves him to second base with no out. And then a wild pitch moves him to third base.

9:34 am: Things are much quieter here, as Venezuela keeps Texas scoreless in the top half of the second period.
