Tennessee Titans vs Miami Dolphins odds, expert tips, how to watch: Which struggling team will get the win they need?

The script for Monday night’s matchup in Week 4 shouldn’t look like this. When the Miami Dolphins take on the Tennessee Titans, two fast-paced teams will battle it out. Without injured quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion), Miami’s offense has slipped this season from No. 1 last year to last. Timely turnovers by second-year quarterback Will Levis hurt Tennessee significantly in all three losses.

Backup quarterback Skylar Thompson suffered a pectoral injury in the second half of Miami’s Week 3 loss, leaving Tim Boyle under center for the remainder of the game. Miami’s rotating backups generated just three scores and 205 yards of total offense – forcing the Dolphins to consider multiple options at quarterback in Week 4. Tyler Huntley is expected to start at quarterback for Miami against the Titans.

Without Tua and running back Raheem Mostert (chest; questionable), the Dolphins’ high-octane offense looked average. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle were neutralized by inconsistent quarterback play. Against a solid Tennessee defensive front that can play in the backfield, Miami needs more from its running game. De’Von Achane (11 carries, 30 yards) was underwhelming in the backfield without Mostert in the lineup.

Turnover issues and protection issues plague Tennessee’s offense. Levis has recorded 15 sacks and recorded eight turnovers in three games, the most in the league. Any momentum the Titans generate with veteran receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley will be wiped out by costly mistakes from Levis at inopportune times.

Levis should have time to address Miami’s inconsistent pass rush – which ranks in the bottom third in pressure percentage. But the wild turnovers have to stop for Tennessee to score points.
