EUREKA SPRINGS, Arkansas (KY3) – A Eureka Springs restaurant had a surprise guest for dinner Friday night.
Ermilio’s Italian Restaurant shared a photo of the staff with comedian and late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert.
We contacted the restaurant to find out why he was in the area.

This week, Colbert hosted his talk show in Chicago after the Democratic National Convention. According to NBC News, his interview with California Rep. Nancy Pelosi was interrupted twice during the week by pro-Palestinian protesters.
“There’s a protest going on right now,” he said. “We’re going to take a commercial break now, but the topic is Israel and Palestine. If you’ll take your seats, we’ll have to take a commercial break now. When we come back, I’ll ask my next question on that topic, if you’re listening.”
After the commercial break, Pelosi spoke about the news that Israel had accepted the terms of a new US ceasefire proposal and expressed hope that Hamas would also accept the proposal.
