As Station 19 begins its final season, it looks like there’s going to be a lot of drama going on. And besides, it might take more than just the first responders from the Seattle Fire Department to put out the flames.
In an interview with TVInsider before the premiere on March 14, Jaina Lee Ortiz (who plays Captain Andy Herrera) gave a taste of what fans can expect from the final episodes. While she didn’t give too much away about what’s still to come from the ABC drama, she did give a sneak peek at a major plot moment planned for later this season.
The star revealed that before the series ends, fans will see the firefighters of Station 19 interact with another group of heroes – the doctors and interns of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Previous seasons have featured a number of crossover events, such as Station 19 is a spin-off of Grey’s Anatomy. But as Station 19 Jaina concludes the characters’ stories and implies that viewers can expect a number of new twists as the show collides with Grey’s Anatomy Season 20.
“There will be a crazy crossover towards the end,” she revealed TVInsider“I have a feeling there will be a big crossover towards the end of the season. And this character has never Grey’s Anatomy in this way.”
Wait, what does that mean? Of course Jaina can’t ruin that. entire Show for long-time viewers! But the news has certainly made fans curious, especially because Andy will be taking on a new role as Captain of Station 19 in Season 7.
We can assume that the final crossover event will involve some sort of crisis that brings together members of the Seattle Fire Department and Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. In addition, according to hints from Grey’s Anatomy Showrunner Meg MarinisIn a Deadline In an interview on 11 March, she gave a foretaste of the upcoming Station 19 Crossover: “We like to share disasters.”
“I haven’t read their last two episodes yet. I know, by and large, where they’re going,” said the Grey’s The showrunner continued, “What I can tell you is that the relationship between Bailey and Ben is going to continue to be reciprocal. These two actors love to intersect with each other, and it’s very important to them that what they do here and what they do there is a symbiotic thing.”
