SpiceJet flight delay and overpriced food at Delhi’s T1 airport frustrate Redditor | Trending

A man who was about to catch his flight from Terminal 1 of Delhi airport said he had the “worst flight experience” ever. Not only that, he also complained about the rising food prices at the airport.

The Redditor complained that the SpiceJet flight was delayed by an hour and passengers were later asked to disembark the plane.
The Redditor complained that the SpiceJet flight was delayed by an hour and passengers were later asked to disembark the plane.

In his post, he began by explaining that he had arrived at the airport early in the hopes of gaining access to the lounge, but because it was being renovated, he had to eat at another food outlet, claiming that they were “insanely overpriced.” According to the Redditor, a cup of tea, for example, costs 200, coffee costs 300, Rajma rice costs 400 etc. He also posted that there were no places to sit and eat near the grocery stores.

Recounting his flying experience, he wrote that his SpiceJet flight was delayed by an hour. However, even after boarding, passengers had to wait for another 30 minutes for the flight to take off. One person wrote: “First time traveller? These are pretty standard airport fares. T3 has a huge range of food options so you must have skipped this area and headed near your gate.”

SpiceJet is rubbish though. I always choose Indigo or Air India even if I have to pay a little more. The lounge is rubbish though. I didn’t know it was being renovated.”

Another person added, “Never travel with Spicejet. Though my flight was scheduled to depart at 3:30 pm, it did not leave until around 9:30 pm. From then on, I have decided never to travel with this airline again, even if it is the cheapest option available.”

A third commented: “You should bring food from home instead of moaning about airport food prices. Airport food is expensive all over the world. This is like coming to the beach and moaning about the sand.”
