Senior Gathering Place looks ahead to September

PRESCOTT – After the recent hot and humid days, it doesn’t feel like the end of summer yet, but fall is upon us. School is starting and we’re meeting again at Prescott Middle School for Gathering Place activities. We hope you were able to join us for our Fall Kickoff Picnic at Freedom Park on Tuesday, August 27. This has replaced our usual potluck lunch on the first Tuesday in September.
Thursday, August 29: Pickleball meets at 9 a.m. at Lions Park across from the Intermediate School on Elm Street
Tuesday, September 3; Gathering Place will reopen at Prescott Middle School. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 4: Play cards, euchre, bridge or a game of your choice with your friends from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 5: Pickleball meets at 9 a.m. at Lions Park across from the Intermediate School on Elm Street.
Friday, September 6: The Memory Cafe meets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the basement of the First National Bank
Tuesday, September 10: The walking group meets at 9 a.m. in the Prescott Middle School parking lot; pickleball meets at 9 a.m. in Lions Park across from the Intermediate School on Elm Street. Mahjongg play from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Call Aggie Hoscheit at 715-641-2265 for the location. Meet your friends at the Keeping in Touch meeting point at 1 p.m. Coffee and treats will be served.
Wednesday, September 11: Meet at the meeting place from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. to play cards, euchre, bridge or a game of your choice.

The Senior Gathering Place is open to all seniors ages 55 and older. Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. We are located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5, of Prescott Middle School.
We would like to send a big “thank you” to First National Bank for hosting us all summer while the middle school was being remodeled. We truly appreciate your kindness.
Come join us this fall because our calendar is full and we are always open to suggestions on different activities. Schedules are available at the meeting point if you do not receive them by email.
