Selena Gomez is quick to debunk rumors about her breakup with Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez spent her Sunday night at Sabrina Carpenter’s sold-out Madison Square Garden concert in New York City. However, a particular video recorded at the event sparked speculation that she was single again.

After a friend in her group, Connar Franklin Carpenter, posted a comment on TikTok that said, “When you got married on the Sabrina Carpenter show but your friends are single,” some people online said that means That Gomez and her boyfriend Benny Blanco had quietly broken up. (Franklin Carpenter has since removed the post, but shared another video of her, Gomez and their group enjoying the show.)

Gomez set things straight very quickly by posting an Instagram photo of herself dancing at Carpenter’s show and tagging Blanco in her caption. He left a flirty reply and used lyrics from Gomez’s 2015 song “Hands to Myself.”

“I can’t keep my hands to myself,” he wrote.

Earlier in the day, Blanco posted a PDA photo of them, providing further proof that their romance is far from over.

The couple has been together for over a year. Gomez recently spoke to Vanity Fair about how much she loves her partner. “I’ve never been loved like this before,” she said. “He was just a light. A perfect light in my life. He is my best friend. I love telling him everything.”

She also shared that they don’t feel any pressure to get married. “We are always careful to protect what we have, but there are no rules,” she said. “I want him to always be himself. “I always want to be myself.” However, whenever she ties the knot, “she won’t change my name no matter what,” she says. “I’m Selena Gomez. This is it.”
