Robert Keyes is running in the Republican runoff for the state’s 15th Senate District against Lisa Standridge (wife of conservative 15-term-limited Senator Rob Standridge) (NonDoc has a good article on the race here). Keyes is campaigning on the back of an endorsement from the fourth-place finisher in the June primary; the winner of the runoff will face Democrat Elizabeth Foreman in the general election.

NORMAN, OK (August 14) – Former GOP candidate for SD-15 Tommie Herell is endorsing Robert Keyes in the upcoming Republican runoff for Oklahoma State Senate. Herell is encouraging fellow conservatives to join him and vote for Keyes on August 27.

“I had the opportunity to meet all of SD-15’s candidates during the primary, and the decision in this runoff is clear. I support Robert Keyes,” said Tommie Herell. “Keyes is a leader who knows how to build effective coalitions and get things done for the good of our community. Robert Keyes is president and CEO of Associated Environmental Industries, a Norman-based environmental drilling and construction company. He and his wife, Sandy, have been married for 45 years. Together they founded several companies and created jobs for hundreds of Oklahomans. They raised their three children in Norman and have eight grandchildren.
