Rixo turns pop-up store in NYC into permanent store

Rixo – the vintage-inspired British label that opened a pop-up store in New York City this spring – seems to have had a good experience in one of the world’s fashion capitals, as it is now making the store a permanent location.

The store at 19 Prince Street will officially be converted into a permanent retail outlet “in response to the tremendous success and positive feedback from the local community and visitors since the store opened.”

The positive impact of the pop-up has contributed to a 43% increase in direct sales (both in-store and e-commerce) in the US since its opening.

That’s an impressive number and Rixo said it marks “a pivotal moment” in the company’s international expansion as the brand approaches its tenth anniversary.

“The opening of a permanent store is just the beginning of a series of exciting moments that Rixo has planned for the US market next year,” it said.

From September, the label’s new AW24 collections as well as all future collections, bridal fashion and exclusive products will be presented in the permanent store.

In addition to the seasonal collections, Rixo plans a series of in-store activations, including monthly courtyard vintage pop-ups curated in collaboration with local boutiques, as well as panel discussions and other events “designed to bring fashion enthusiasts and the Rixo community together.”

Co-founder and CEO Henrietta Rix said she is excited to “deepen our connection with the community we’ve built there. Now seems like the perfect time to open a permanent store after seeing a 174% increase in direct sales in the US over the past 12 months. As founders with no outside investment, we are so proud of the success of the pop-up space and excited for all that is to come for Rixo in the US market.”
