Rich Homie Quan died at the age of 34 and was “foaming at the mouth” when his girlfriend found him “unresponsive”: Emergency call

Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan, known for his hit songs, was tragically found dead at the age of 34. He was reportedly “unresponsive” when she returned home and immediately called 911 after she found him “foaming at the mouth.” The recorded audio of the phone call between the rapper’s girlfriend and officers reveals chilling details about his death.

Cause of death of Rich Homie Quan

While the thorough investigation into Rich Homie Quan’s death is still underway, TMZ has obtained a copy of the 911 call made by his girlfriend, Amber Williams. The couple reportedly has children, and according to the call, Williams left the house to pick up her son from school before finding Quan’s lifeless body on the couch.

The audio recording, released just hours after the Atlanta rapper’s tragic death, details the gruesome moments that led to his discovery. Williams explained that she found Quan unconscious on her couch the morning after he retired for the night. Believing he was simply fast asleep, she tucked him in and left to take her son to school. When she got home, she checked on Quan and was horrified to find that he had no pulse and wasn’t breathing. “I don’t feel a heartbeat. I don’t see him breathing,” she said through tears.

She then described the moment when she tried to wake him up, only to find that he had foam coming out of his mouth. “When I turned him over, he had some kind of foam coming out of his mouth,” she said, according to the audio call.

Rich Homie Quan pronounced dead at the scene

The emergency operator explained to Williams how to help Quan breathe and instructed her to lay the rapper flat on his back. Paramedics arrived shortly afterward. The 34-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. According to Page Six, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy on the rapper for Friday.

The cause of death has not yet been announced. RHQ was born Dequantes Devontay Lamar on October 4, 1990 and died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 5. Quan rose to prominence with his hit single Type of Way in 2013 and continued to build his fan base with tracks like Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh) and Ride Out. He also teamed up with Young Thug for the Cash Money Records project Rich Gang and often collaborated with other Atlanta artists such as 2 Chainz and Jacquees.
