Weld County rates restaurants, schools, grocery stores and other food-handling facilities based on three categories — passed, required re-inspection and closed. As part of the county’s rating index, officials evaluate facilities on factors such as refrigeration, reheating, cooking-cooling and warming equipment, cross-contamination between raw food and ready-to-eat food and employee hygiene, according to the county.
“Pass” – The facility meets basic food safety standards. The facility may have some priority, basic, or major violations. Some or all of the violations were corrected during the inspection.
“Review Required” – Food safety violations have been identified and corrections may have been made, but the rating requires review to ensure basic food standards are met.
“Closed” – Significant unsanitary conditions or other immediate health hazards have been identified. The facility has multiple violations of priority, priority baseline, or core regulations that pose a high risk. The facility must cease operations until the conditions and violations are corrected.
Establishments rated “closed” and marked with an * indicate that the establishment later met the requirements for reopening.
