An investigation by the Metro Nashville Airport Authority has found that Nashville International Airport President and CEO Doug Kreulen was not involved in dishonest or illegal conduct, Nashville Business Journal reports.
Kreulen referred to an email he sent to the commissioners on August 2, in which he noted that he had been informed of “no indications of wrongdoing.” NBJrThe email reportedly followed individual discussions the BNA chairman had with each of the seven commissioners regarding the investigation.
According to NBJ, the details of the allegations are still unclear. The business newspaper checked There is no mention of the matter in Kreulen’s personnel file.
NBJ Reports (read Here) Board members have not commented publicly on the investigation, and Business Paper’s requests for comment from MNAA Chair Nancy Sullivan and the board’s attorney, Frost Brown Todd partner Makesha Montgomery, were not returned. Kreulen declined to comment NBJ.
Montgomery held briefings with MNAA board members but did not release anything in writing, NBJ reported, citing an unnamed source with knowledge of the investigation.
“As with any investigation, there are always lessons to be learned, but I want to assure you that I remain 100 percent confident and committed to leading a professional organization,” Kreulen wrote, according to NBJ.
The findings of the investigation come after MNAA held two confidential meetings related to Kreulen. NBJ Reported at the end of July. (read Here).
Kreulen joined the airport 12 years ago and has been CEO and president since late 2017. His contract runs until the end of 2026, NBJ reports.
NBJ June was reportedly BNA’s busiest month, with around 2.4 million passengers.
MNAA owns and operates Nashville International Airport and John C. Tune Airport.
