Renowned Fort Worth restaurant expands to Southlake and then to a high-profile Dallas location

One of Fort Worth’s fastest growing restaurant groups is expanding to the Dallas area.

Pacific Table opened in Southlake on August 14, 2024. Owner Felipe Armenta said The Dallas Morning News He plans to expand the restaurant next to a prominent tower in downtown Dallas in 2025.

Armenta’s Pacific Table is scheduled to open in the Sinclair, a 46-story apartment building formerly known as the Energy Plaza Tower.

Todd Interests took over the Energy Plaza Tower, designed by architect IM Pei, and spent $300 million renovating it. The building will reopen in early 2024. The Todd family is known for its remodels of existing Dallas buildings, including The National, which houses the sky-high Monarch restaurant.

Armenta’s team will also operate a café in The Sinclair. There is no name or opening date yet.

Armenta’s company, Far Out Hospitality, operates 19 restaurants, most of them in Tarrant County, including Press Cafe, Maria’s Mexican Kitchen, Le Margot and more.

Pacific Table is a West Coast-style restaurant serving steaks, sushi and oysters. The most popular dish is a miso salmon entree served with sticky rice and sautéed broccoletti. The second most popular dish is Lincoln’s Roll, a spicy tuna roll with asparagus and avocado named after one of Armenta’s four children.

Pacific Table is the most successful restaurant in Far Out’s portfolio. It launched in Fort Worth in 2013 and expanded to Las Colinas in 2021. After opening Southlake and Dallas, it’s likely Pacific Table will continue to grow in Texas, according to Armenta.

Chef Armenta previously worked for Houston’s parent company and opened an American restaurant across the country called Bandera. After opening his own restaurant group in Texas, Armenta hired TV chef Graham Elliot, whose eponymous restaurant in Chicago had previously received two Michelin stars. Elliot left Chicago and now lives in Fort Worth.

Together with Armenta, they have been driving Far Out Hospitality’s expansion plans throughout Texas, with six restaurants currently under construction, including Pacific Table in downtown Dallas.

Pacific Table is newly opened at 2221 E. Southlake Blvd., Southlake. The restaurant plans to expand to The Sinclair, 405 N. Ervay St., Dallas, in 2025.

Pacific Table also has restaurants at 1600 S. University Drive, Fort Worth and at 5238 N. O’Connor Blvd., Irving.
