Reba McEntire + more mourn Kris Kristofferson’s death

The entire world is in mourning after Kris Kristofferson died on Saturday (September 28) at the age of 88.

Whether you knew him best as a world-class songwriter, as one quarter of the legendary group The Highwaymen, as a solo artist, or through his work as a film actor, Kristofferson left an indelible impact on the entertainment industry, and its stars quickly began to take advantage Take to social media to pay your respects.

To some of country music’s greatest living legends, Kristofferson is considered a hero.

“I’m so happy to meet him and be with him. One of my favorite people,” writes Reba McEntire in her memoir.

McEntire describes Kristofferson as “a gentleman, a kind soul and a lover of words,” adding, “Rest in peace, Kris.”

In 2016, the “Fancy” superstar paid tribute to Kristofferson with a performance of his song “Me and Bobby McGee” during a tribute show in Nashville, and their time on stage became even more special when Kristofferson came on stage to perform to make a duet a special experience.

Dolly Parton was also one of the first to pay tribute to Kristofferson, saying: “What a great loss. What a great writer. What a great actor. What a great friend. I will always love you.”
