SEATTLE – We know that real estate prices are high in Washington, but a new report from Redfin shows us more about how the numbers really stack up on a national scale.
Currently, the median home price in Washington is $659,000, making it the fourth highest in the United States.
With the national average being $440,000, this means homebuyers in the state are paying 50% higher prices overall.
Compared to 2019 prices, median home sales prices in Washington have increased 47%This is the lowest rate among our neighbors (except Oregon) and represents an increase of 42%.
- Idaho: 74% increase
- Montana: 78% increase
- Nevada 52 Increase
- Utah: 62% increase
- California: 48% increase
According to the monthly housing market data report, higher sales prices are associated with more densely populated areas and sought-after metropolitan areas.
