Raygun's best friend reveals the truth about her breakdance performance that earned zero points at the Olympics

Raygun’s best friend hits back at the critics and all the people “who don’t get it”

Fed up of the unfair criticism, breakdancer Raygun’s best friend hits back at people who have never seen breakdancing and is the loudest commentator on her friend’s Olympic performance.

The Olympic Games are a great opportunity to show the world who you are and what you are capable of.

But if your performance is not well received, you can quickly become the subject of international ridicule.

High risk, high reward, I guess.

Australian breakdancer Raygun, real name Rachael Gunn, is currently going through a difficult time as she received no points at the Olympic Games in Paris and was unable to convince the audience due to her unorthodox movements.

Sunny Spiteri, the 36-year-old athlete’s best friend, was Rachael’s maid of honour at her wedding in 2018 and has now spoken out in support of her friend for the first time.

According to a Mail Online report, she said: “She is my best friend!”

“She’s kind and intelligent and one of the funniest people I know. All these people who don’t understand her moves have never been to a real battle – that’s breaking!”

There might be some truth in that, as most viewers have never seen a real-life battle themselves. But I somehow doubt that will stop critics from, well… criticizing.

She continued, “It’s creative expression and she is very appreciated in the community for her musicality and creativity! All that to say, I love her and am SO PROUD.”

Her best friend emphasized how much she wants to support her and said she will wear Raygun shirts until she is 90. That is truly an endorsement.

Spiteri also hit back at rumors and speculations that questioned whether a conspiracy was afoot. Yes, the breakdancing conspiracies have landed.

Questions have been raised online as to how Gunn was even selected for the Paris Olympics, and it has been suggested that she was chosen for reasons other than her ability.

Spiteri added: “The judges often don’t know them and judge according to certain criteria. None of their victories have been contested. Just because you don’t understand it or like it doesn’t mean it was some kind of masterful deception.”

It seems that Raygun was not too impressed by the mockery as she also posted an optimistic message on her social media page.

She wrote: “Don’t be afraid to be different. Go out and represent yourself, you never know where it will take you.”
