Rape in campus fraternity house reported to IU police

According to a crime alert sent to students by IU Bloomington, a rape occurred at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house early Friday morning.

According to the statement, the rape occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. The suspect is known to IU police.

The suspect was described as a white male with green eyes and dark brown, short, shaggy hair. The statement said the suspect also had no beard, thick dark eyebrows, was 6’2″ tall and weighed 205 pounds. The suspect is a student but does not live on campus.

The IUPD is urging anyone with information regarding this or any other crime to call the department at 812-855-4111.

The IUPD is still investigating the incident. Hannah Skibba, IUPD spokesperson, said the IUPD cannot release any further information at this time.
