Rain and thunderstorms return to region Thursday – Duluth News Tribune

As we wake up Thursday morning, a few scattered showers look set to move through the region, however they will remain relatively light and widely scattered through the morning. As the first wave of rain subsides, a little sunshine in the afternoon will bring temperatures above 25 degrees. We are watching for the likelihood of some stronger storms forming Thursday afternoon. There will still be a chance of severe storms with strong winds and hail in the late afternoon and early evening as a cold front moves across the region.

To end the week, we expect a few warm days around 20 degrees and lots of sun for Friday, but then a few more clouds for the start of the weekend.

We’re keeping an eye on the possibility of isolated showers on Saturday night. Temperatures will then drop to 15 to 20 degrees by Sunday, ensuring a cooler and seasonal start to the next week.
