PS5 Pro isn’t the only new Sony console launching in November | Gaming | Entertainment

Sony recently revealed the PS5 Pro, confirming that pre-orders will open on September 26th on the PlayStation Direct website, ahead of the console’s full launch on November 7th. However, in a follow-up post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony revealed plans to release another range of new consoles and accessories in November, this time to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original PlayStation. The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection includes new variants of the PS5 Digital Edition and PS5 Pro, as well as themed DualSense controllers and even a brand new version of the PlayStation Portal in the PSOne’s original colour scheme. Pre-orders for the new items will also open on September 26th, ahead of their full launch on November 21st.

The limited edition 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro variant includes a themed version of the console itself, complete with 2TB of storage and matching accessories, including a DualSense wireless controller, a DualSense Edge wireless controller, a DualSense charging station, and a console cover for the disc drive add-on (the disc drive is sold separately, however).

It also comes with an anniversary-themed vertical stand, as well as an original PlayStation controller-style cable connector that includes four PlayStation Shapes cable ties. There’s also a PlayStation sticker, a limited edition PlayStation poster, and a PlayStation paperclip… for some reason.

According to Sony, each PS5 Pro Anniversary Edition is individually numbered as a collector’s item. There will only be 12,300 Pro models worldwide.

Additionally, the PlayStation 5 30th Anniversary Digital Edition includes a themed console with a 1TB SSD, as well as a limited edition DualSense controller and a console cover for the separate drive.

It also includes the same limited edition bonus items as the PS5 Pro, including the PlayStation Shape cable ties and this year’s must-have product, the PlayStation paper clip.

The 30th Anniversary DualSense Edge, standard DualSense, and PlayStation Portals will also be available in limited quantities, although it’s unclear how many units will be available and for how long.

As for pre-order availability, this is where things get a little confusing.

For UK customers, the PS5 Pro, PlayStation Portal and 30th Anniversary DualSense Edge will apparently only be available on the PlayStation Direct website, with pre-orders available from September 26th.

The anniversary-themed PS5 Digital Edition consoles will also be available for pre-order from PlayStation Direct starting September 26, before going on sale at participating retailers starting October 10.

Finally, the Anniversary DualSense controller will be available for pre-order starting September 26th on the PlayStation Direct website and at select retailers.

Daily Express will be back later this week with more information on pre-orders, pricing and shop links, so keep checking back for regular updates.
