PS5 Pro and 30th Anniversary Edition: How to pre-order

You thought you were just going to pre-order the PlayStation 5 Pro today and that was it? Think about it again.

PlayStation is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its original console with a brand new limited collection of PS5 consoles and accessories.

To celebrate, PlayStation is releasing a special version of the PS5 Pro console and accessories that features retro design elements as well as a traditional color scheme that pays homage to the original PlayStation console.

This is not the only reason why PlayStation makes these limited consoles something special.

Each limited edition PS5 Pro console will receive a unique number that identifies it as a collector’s item. Only 12,300 numbered consoles will be sold.

The 30th Anniversary PlayStation Pro went up for pre-order on Thursday, September 26th at 7 a.m. Arizona time and sold out within seconds, according to ign.com.

To no one’s surprise, and to the dismay of PlayStation gamers around the world, scalpers are already offering their limited edition consoles on resale sites like eBay at a much higher price than the already expensive $999.99 that PlayStation is selling them for has.

What’s included in the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Bundle?

Not only does the 30th Anniversary Edition of the PS5 Pro pay homage to the original PlayStation console, but it also comes in a package with some pretty awesome bonuses:

Limited edition PS5 Pro console.
Limited Edition DualSense Edge Wireless Controller.
Limited DualSense wireless controller.
Limited edition DualSense charging station.
Limited edition console cover for CD drive.
Limited edition vertical stand.
Original PlayStation controller style cable connector housing.
4 cable ties in PlayStation shapes.
PlayStation stickers.
Limited edition PlayStation poster (one of 30 possible designs).
PlayStation paperclip.

When can I pre-order a PS5 Pro?

To get the regular PS5 Pro that’s coming out, you’ll need $699.99 and will need to go to PlayStation Direct and enter your PlayStation Network account information.

You will then be added to an online queue that will be updated automatically. If you select this option, you will be given a time window in which you can pre-order the console of your choice and the accessories you want.

While those who pre-order from the official PlayStation Store will get first prize, select retailers will open for their own pre-orders on October 10th.

Target, Walmart, Best Buy and Amazon will begin accepting pre-orders for the PS5 Pro on their websites on October 10th.

PS5 Pro sold out?

The 30th Anniversary Edition of the PS5 Pro sold out in seconds on Thursday, but there is still plenty of PS5 Pro in stock. You can pre-order on the PlayStation website or wait until retail pre-orders begin on October 10th.
